Today in history. Again =)

Today in 1307 was probably a lucky day for Piers Gaveston.
Edward I died near the Scottish Border at Burgh by Sands - most likely instructing the earls of Lincoln and Warwick, Aymer de Valence, and Robert Clifford, to look after his son, the future Edward II - whose first deed as a king was to call Piers back from exile. (At least to my biased mind.)

Hi ROWAN LEWGALON, here is a new novel about King Edward II of England, and a website dedicated to an exciting new archival research project aimed at discovering the truth about how he really died. The novel comes highly recommended by Kathryn Warner.
Take a look also to the book trailer please :)
